The 4704th Defense Wing is an inactive United States Air Force organization. Its last assignment was with the 25th Air Division, being stationed at McChord Air Force Base, Washington. It was inactivated on 8 October 1954

On February 6, 1952 the 325th Fighter-Interceptor Wing was deactivated and replaced by the activation of the 4704th Defense Wing. The 4704th DW absorbed all personnel, equipment and responsibilities of the 325th.
Mission to Train and maintain tactical flying units in state of readiness in order to defend Northwest United States. Unit was inactivated with equipment and personnel absorbed into 567th Air Defense Group.
Oversaw transfer of Air Force facilities at Portland Airport from Tactical Air Command to ADC.
